The Education & Workforce Development Committee works to improve the future quality of your workforce by hosting many quality educational programs through local partnerships. Meetings include a presentation by featured speakers in the areas of Education, Job Training, Human Resources and Community Programs.
The Committee coordinates interaction between businesses and the local school district, Conejo Valley Unified School District, and partners with private schools and colleges in the Conejo Valley area. The committee also encourages educational excellence by rewarding teachers and students with monthly awards and yearly scholarships.
This Month's Speaker: Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley
"At Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley, it is our vision to put success within reach of every child in the Greater Conejo Valley. We exist to fit a critical need in our community, the crucial out of school hours and youth development in a safe place.
Clubs are open in the morning, at lunch, and afterschool to ensure parents are able to continue working and kids have a safe place to go where they are given the tools to create their own great future. Each child can be the next great leader, create the cure for cancer or become the next great novelist. We ensure kids reach their full potential through dedicated staff, mentors and our enrichment programming. And let’s be honest, to have a great time along the way."
