Legislative Roundtable provides a setting for dialogue to take place on public policy issues and gives public agency staff, elected officials, their staff and businesses an opportunity to network. The meeting has a guest speaker on a public sector topic and regular updates from our local cities, agencies and elected officials.
Staff members provide brief reports from their prospective agencies to inform each other and members of the chamber of upcoming events or other items of interest.
This Month's Speaker: Richard Copelan - President/CEO of Better Business Bureau The Better Business Bureau of the Tri-Counties has been serving Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties since 1945. Rick Copelan and his wife Carol Giamoni Copelan assumed leadership of BBB of the Tri-Counties in 1996 and have grown the organization to over 2,700 accredited businesses. The BBB of the Tri-Counties has been steadily growing and very recently added a Ventura County office in the Ventura County Community Foundation's Non-Profit Center in Camarillo.
The BBB's mission is to promote ethical business practices through the voluntary self-regulation of business. The BBB accomplishes this by helping consumers and businesses settle their disputes and we publish reliability reports on Tri-County area businesses.
