The Education Committee works to improve the future quality of your workforce by hosting valuable educational programs through local partnerships. Meetings include a presentation by featured speakers in the areas of Education, Job Training, Human Resources, Community Programs, and updates from our local partners.
The Education Committeecoordinates interaction between businesses and the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) and partners with private schools/colleges in the Conejo Valley.
This committee also leads our Teacher of the Month Program in partnership with CVUSD, where we honor educational excellence by rewarding teachers with a plaque in their name and gifts from Chamber Members. This is an opportunity for Chamber Members (you) to acknowledge our educators while also giving a brief description of your organization!

Kyle Jorrey
Editor, Thousand Oaks Acorn Newspaper
Kyle Jorrey is in his 10th year as editor of the Thousand Oaks Acorn. In addition to his work on the T.O. paper, he oversees the Acorn’s social media efforts, heads up an annual special section dedicated to high school football and co-hosts the paper’s weekly podcast, Branching Out. His team has received statewide recognition for its coverage of local government, breaking news events and education. Kyle makes his home in Thousand Oaks with wife Jenny and stepdaughter Kylie, a senior at Agoura High School, and their two beloved rescue dogs.
