Learn valuable tools including EFT tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique) to shift from fear, stress and struggle to acceptance, loving and healing. Learn how you can nurture and love yourself to great health from the inside-out!

    Soma is back by popular demand! DanceMedicine, developed by Nadia Natali, is an immersion into personal discovery and healing that promotes well-being for body, mind, and soul. Through the individual’s narrative and dance process with an experienced facilitator, each person will journey in a safe atmosphere of mutual support, using movement and inquiry in the dance process. DanceMedicine is about authentic and meaningful expression, facilitating the alignment of one’s heart and center.
    Soma Aloia MS, RCST is a Biodynamic Nutritionist and Mind-Body Therapist. She is the facilitator of an experiential and expressive integrative therapy. Soma’s work is an amalgam of thirty years research and application, acknowledging the wisdom and power of the body’s awakened intelligence for health and wholeness.
     
    Merv’s Comedy Night: Laughter IS the Best Medicine!

    Laugh the night away as a professional stand-up comedian entertains you and your friends. This ongoing series was created by Merv Kopp, who truly believed that laughter was the best medicine.  Performers TBA. Material is typically at a PG-13 level.
     
    Reiki II Workshop: Symbols/Practitioner with Jeannie Rabin and Monica Kmiotek

    If you have already been attuned to the Reiki level I for self-care and would like to continue with your Reiki learning, this is the next step. In this workshop you’ll learn the first three Reiki symbols and their use. You will also receive another attunement initiating you into the healing symbols of Reiki. This will enable you to use the Level II symbols and become a Reiki Practitioner.
    The healing Reiki energy first found Jeannie Rabin and Monica Kmiotek, Reiki Master/Teachers in 2013. Since then, Jeannie and Monica have been conducting Reiki group healing nights, Attunements, Chakra balancing and body scanning in Westlake Village and Santa Rosa Valley.
     
    Alexander Technique: A New Look at Tension Patterns (3 sessions)

    The Alexander Technique is a gentle body movement technique developed in England over 100 years ago by F.M. Alexander. Workshop leader, Shulamit Sendowski, will demonstrate how to transform physical stress and tension into ease, balance, and coordination. Awareness of tension habits in simple daily movements like sitting, standing, walking & bending will be explored. This is a three week course, each week expanding on the previous one.
    Shulamit is certified by the Alexander Training Institute of Los Angeles and the American Society for the Alexander Technique. She has been teaching the Alexander Technique to individuals and groups since 1991.

    with Nimmi Kapoor, MD

    While 1 in 8 women may be diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States, risk is highest amongst women with dense breasts or certain genetic mutations. Participants will learn about breast density and best tools for screening dense breasts. Advances in genetic testing and new mutations in genes such as PALB2, CHEK2, and ATM will also be discussed. Finally, a new horizon on understanding tools for prevention of breast cancer and recurrence will be introduced.
    Nimmi S. Kapoor, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified breast surgical oncologist, and is the Medical Director of Breastlink at the Encino Breast Care Center. She completed both general surgery residency and a research fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell, and received advanced Breast Surgical Oncology training and fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, John Wayne Cancer Institute and Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Lunch will be generously provided by Ambry Genetics.
