    Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce Announces Candidates Forum
    Candidates for State Senate District 27 and Thousand Oaks City Council to Participate
     
    Thousand Oaks – The Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and California Lutheran University will host a Candidates Forum on Wednesday, October 5th at 6pm in the Lundring Events Center. The moderator will be Cal Lutheran Political Science Professor Dr. Herb Gooch.
     
    The Chamber of Commerce has confirmed the participation of both Democrat Henry Stern and Republican Steve Fazio to participate in a 60-minute State Senate Forum at 6pm.
     
    Following the State Senate Forum, the four candidates for City Council – Al Adam, Anne LaFianza, Rob McCoy* and Billy Martin will participate in a forum for Thousand Oaks City Council.
     
    The Candidates Forum is free and the public is encouraged to attend.  Additionally, the forum will be live streamed by KADY-TV and rebroadcast on the Thousand Oaks local access channel TOTV.
     
    Jill Lederer, President/CEO of the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce, said:  “It is central to the Chamber of Commerce’s mission to assist businesses and the public in becoming more informed about their choices in local elections.  We are proud to partner with California Lutheran University to provide this public forum.  It is our hope that the candidates will address their strategies to ensure a modern and sustainable business climate in Thousand Oaks and California.”
     
    The Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce is the official Chamber for the Cities of Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village and Agoura Hills.  It is one of the largest Chambers in the western United States and also operates the Conejo Valley Tourism Improvement District and Greater Conejo Valley Community Foundation.
