WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. — The Cancer Support Community Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara (CscVvsb) announces a free workshop, “Healthy Eating Workshop & Cooking Demonstration” with Pam Braun, LMFT on Tuesday, January 31st, at 12:00-1:30pm, at 530 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village, CA 91361. Please call 805.379.4777 to RSVP or to learn more. Pam is back! Join us for the workshop and cooking demonstrations with Pam Braun! Pam will share how her journey with cancer led to her extensive research on food and its relationship to cancer. She will focus on what experts now say we should and should not eat to help decrease the chances of cancer and its recurrence. Pam, a former chef and resturant owner, was diagnosed in 2004 at the age of 52 with late-stage fallopian tube cancer. She was given a 15% chance of survival and a 75% chance of reoccurence. Her fierce determination to do all she could through her cancer journey, in conjunction with traditional medical treatment, compelled her to begin researching the science of food and its relationship to cancer. Her research has led to the development of The Ultimate Anti-Cancer Cookbook, endprsed by Dr. Mary Hardy, bringing her combined passions for good food and healthful living together.
