The Education & Workforce Development Committee works to improve the future quality of your workforce by hosting many quality educational programs through local partnerships. Meetings include a presentation by featured speakers in the areas of Education, Job Training, Human Resources and Community Programs.
This Month's Speaker: CVUSD Superintendent Dr. Mark McLaughlin
Dr. McLaughlin served as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for CVUSD from 2013 until this past spring, when he was announced as the Interim Superintendent. While the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, he supervised the placement of staff for 27 schools, as well as District office level positions. Last summer, Dr. McLaughlin was also instrumental in collaborating with the community in the development of the Conejo Valley Learning Center (CVLC) relocation project report.
Prior to CVUSD, he worked for the Fontana Unified School District as the Director of Certificated Human Resources. He also held roles in FUSD as a teacher and administrator at both the elementary and secondary levels.
Dr. McLaughlin holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from California Lutheran University, a Master’s degree in Education with an Emphasis in School Administration from Azusa Pacific University, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Montana-Western.
Dr. McLaughlin is a husband and a father of three.
