The Education Committee works to improve the future quality of your workforce by hosting valuable educational programs through local partnerships. Meetings include a presentation by featured speakers in the areas of Education, Job Training, Human Resources, Community Programs, and updates from our local partners.
The Education Committee coordinates interaction between businesses and the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) and partners with private schools/colleges in the Conejo Valley.
This committee also leads our Teacher of the Month Program in partnership with CVUSD, where we honor educational excellence by rewarding teachers with a plaque in their name and gifts from Chamber Members. This is an opportunity for Chamber Members (you) to acknowledge our educators while also giving a brief description of your organization!

This Month's Speaker: Dr. C. Kanoelani Naone - CEO for The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Conejo Valley
Dr. Nāone is currently the CEO for The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley where she is responsible for vision, strategy and oversight of the $5.8 million dollar budget, 100+ staff and more than 4,000 children served annually, across 9 Clubs, located between Calabasas and Newbury Park.
Before joining the Boys & Girls Clubs, Nāone served as Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Native Pacific Education Culture (INPEACE), where she was responsible for the overall vision and direction of the statewide agency. Under her leadership, INPEACE effectively served more than 6,400 annually with early childhood education, workforce development, Hawaiian language and culture programming.
