    Event Description:
    Legislative Roundtable provides a setting for dialogue to take place on public policy issues and gives public agency staff, elected officials, their staff and businesses an opportunity to network. The meeting has a guest speaker on a public sector topic and regular updates from our local cities, agencies and elected officials.

    Staff members provide brief reports from their prospective agencies to inform each other and members of the chamber of upcoming events or other items of interest.



    This Month's Speaker: Mark Towne - Thousand Oaks Community Development Director
        Mark Towne has served the City of Thousand Oaks for nearly 27 years. He began his career with the City as the Open Space Planner/Manager and now serves as the Community Development Director. He holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from UC santa Barbara, a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from UC Berkeley and a Master of Public Administration degree from California State University Northridge.
     

        Additionally, Mark joined the American Institute of Certified Planners in 2000 and became a Certified Environmental Planner in 2015. He authored Open Space Conservation in Urban Environment: Lessons from Thousand Oaks, CA which was published in Urban Ecosystems in 1998.
