Assistance League of Conejo Valley partners with Manna Conejo Valley Food Bank by presenting a check for $10,000 joining their quest of “Neighbor Feeding Neighbor.”
Mari Hill, Priscilla Boone and Marilyn Adam of the Assistance League Conejo Valley chapter were on hand to present the check to Jennifer Schwabauer, Executive Director of Manna, on Thursday, April 23rd.
At this time, while our community deals with the COVID -19 pandemic, feeding the hungry seems to be the most direct help we can provide. This donation will provide 8,000 meals, with one meal equaling 1.25 pounds of food. Manna saw an increase of 46% of new families seeking assistance in March and a 58% increase of new families seeking help since April 1.
Together, we can foster an environment that helps our community and ensures that our residents never go hungry.
