2nd Annual Poker Tournament on Saturday, September 24, 2022,
at North Ranch Event Center from 1 pm to 7 pm PST

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA—The BumbleBee Foundation (BBF), a pediatric cancer organization founded in Southern California eleven years ago, is holding its 2nd Annual Poker Tournament on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at North Ranch Event Center in Westlake Village. Players will enjoy an afternoon of spirited competition, prizes, and fun for all, as they rally together to support pediatric cancer families.

The event will raise much-needed funds for BumbleBee's six (6) core programs that help pediatric cancer families locally and throughout the state of California and Idaho. BBF programs provide everything from BumbleBee BEEday gift cards for sick children on their birthdays and BEEpacks filled with hospital essentials to gasoline and patient aid, so parents don't have to think about bills and can focus on what counts most - being there for their child. Heather Donatini, Executive Director and Co-Founder of the BumbleBee Foundation, stated," the words 'your child has cancer' are words no parent wants to hear. We are committed to being there for cancer families through their journey."

BumbleBee services help families navigate hospital appointments and the stress and worry of a cancer diagnosis. One BBF parent stated, "The BumbleBee Foundation has been a ray of sunshine for my daughter and other children that are part of their programs. Days when the hospital was focused on saving my daughter, this foundation gave her smiles and reminded her that there's so much joy in life. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything." BBF goes above and beyond to keep children smiling and help families with unforeseen expenses. In addition to the support BBF provides via its six programs, the organization was also able to assist two families that reached out for help with their extraordinarily high electric bills due to the recent local heatwave. Thanks to generous supporters and fundraising events like the poker tournament, BBF is able to step up and help families with these urgent requests.

Check-in for poker will begin at 1 pm, lessons will start at 1:30 pm, and the first-hand will be dealt at 2:00 pm sharp. Geared toward novice and experienced players alike, participants will go "all in" to support pediatric cancer families! Must be 21 or older to participate.
