A liquid biopsy is a test done on a sample of blood to look for cancer cells from a tumor that are circulating in the blood or for pieces of DNA from tumor cells that are in the blood. A liquid biopsy may be used to help find cancer at an early stage. It may also be used to help plan treatment or to find out how well treatment is working or if cancer has come back. Please come and find out more about liquid biopsy. Dinner will be generously provided by Cenvenio.
Dr. Michael Castro is a board-certified medical oncologist with more than 25-year experience in direct patient care and clinical research. His key interests include immunotherapy of cancer and precision medicine (the use of genomic testing and biomarkers) to develop more effective and less toxic treatments for cancer patients. Dr. Castro obtained his medical education at Columbia University in NY, and fellowship in neoplastic diseases at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Castro has been recognized as one of the Top Doctors in America by US News and World Report since 2011.

Alexander Technique: A New Look at Tension Patterns (2 sessions)

The Alexander Technique is a gentle body movement technique developed in England over 100 years ago by F.M. Alexander. Workshop leader, Shulamit Sendowski, will demonstrate how to transform physical stress and tension into ease, balance, and coordination. Awareness of tension habits in simple daily movements like sitting, standing, walking & bending will be explored. This is a two week course, the second week expanding on the first one.
Shulamit is certified by the Alexander Training Institute of Los Angeles and the American Society for the Alexander Technique. She has been teaching the Alexander Technique to individuals and groups since 1991.

He will present from his well-loved workshop practical information about how to reduce common fears of recurrence, illness, death and finding a new stronger richer life after cancer.
