    January 29, 2018
Employment law firm LightGabler is presenting a free employment law seminar "Your Employee Handbook…A Guide to Legal Compliance, or a Roadmap to Litigation?" The seminar will be held twice: Tuesday, February 13 in Oxnard and Tuesday, February 27 in Simi Valley.

A strategically sound and legally compliant employee handbook is arguably the most critical document employers can implement to protect a California workplace. To provide the greatest source of information to employees, along with the best protection for employers, employee handbooks should be updated annually to incorporate new legislation and recent case law, as well as strategic provisions designed to protect the company from employee claims.

In this informative seminar for employers, supervisors and human resource professionals, employment law attorney Karen L. Gabler will review the most important updates to employee policies for 2018. Topics include new language on meal breaks and rest periods, new parental leave, expanded protected categories and mandatory changes to harassment policies.

The Oxnard seminar will be held at the Oxnard Courtyard Marriott (600 East Esplanade Dr., Oxnard) and the Simi Valley seminar will take place at the Best Western Posada Royale Hotel (1775 Madera Rd., Simi Valley). Both seminars are from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

A continental breakfast will be served. Attendance is limited to no more than three people per company. Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance and can be made by going to http://www.lightgablerlaw.com and clicking on “Seminars.” For questions, call 805-248-7089.
