"The LAAHU Board of Directors chose Fit 4 The Cause, Inc. as its non-profit partner this year because its mission aligns with health, well-being and positive thinking," said LAAHU spokeswoman and NAHU Region 8 Media Chair, Naama O. Pozniak, a certified Healthcare Reform Specialist and chair of the LAAHU Community Outreach Committee. "LAAHU historically has supported non-profit organizations making a strong community impact, only working with those whose dollars go directly to healthier living."

Pozniak said LAAHU's agents will work with Fit 4 The Cause to promote wellness and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle to members, friends, clients and the healthcare insurance industry at large. Both Fit 4 The Cause and LAAHU's agents will emphasize how exercise, nutrition, meditation and a good night's sleep will improve wellbeing.

Fit 4 The Cause Founder Cindy Rakowitz said she is grateful to have LAAHU's support and shared goals of promoting preventative healthcare. "We feel this should be just as available to everyone as preventative dental care. If we keep our hearts healthy and our muscles strong, it minimizes the risk of illness and people will live longer, healthier lives," she said.

LAAHU is the Los Angeles chapter of the national advocacy organization for benefits professionals which helps members succeed in the ever-changing healthcare industry. LAAHU helps benefits professionals improve their communities and grow thier businesses through educational programs, active legislative advocacy in Sacramento and Washington, D.C., networking and leadership in state and national associations. LAAHU members educate the public about the importance of their health insurance agent and their role in choosing the right plan and coverage for families, friends, clients, employers, employees and individuals.
