    Employment law firm LightGabler is presenting a free employment law seminar, “What the Heck is ADR: Alternative Dispute Resolution--What It Is, When to Use It & How to Be Successful.” The seminar will be held twice, Tuesday, June 13, in Oxnard and Tuesday, June 27, in Simi Valley.
     
    Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) can cut down on legal fees and efficiently resolve disputes with employees. In this seminar designed for employers, supervisors and human resource professionals, employment law attorney Jonathan Fraser Light will discuss the difference between mediation and arbitration, preparing for mediation, insurance carrier involvement including tendering claims to carriers, the mediation process, negotiation strategies and the HR professional’s role.
     
    The Oxnard seminar will be held at the Oxnard Courtyard Marriott (600 East Esplanade Dr., Oxnard) and the Simi Valley seminar will take place at the Best Western Posada Royale Hotel (1775 Madera Rd., Simi Valley). Both seminars are from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. A continental breakfast will be served.
