Barbara (CscVvsb) announces a free workshop, “LUNCH & LEARN: Prevention, Risk Reduction, and Surgery for Breast Cancer with Nimmi Kapoor, MD” on Thursday, October 19th, 12:00-1:30pm, at 530 Hampshire Road, Westlake Village, CA 91361. Dr. Nimmi Kapoor will discuss lifestyle modification before and after cancer, pros and cons of bilateral mastectomy, risks and complications associated with implants and reconstruction. Lunch will be graciously provided by Radnet.
Nimmi S. Kapoor, MD, FACS, is a Cedars-Sinai physician practicing at the Cedars Sinai Cancer Center location in the San Fernando Valley. She is a fellowship-trained, board-certified surgical oncologist specializing in breast and thyroid cancer. She completed both a general surgery residency and an endocrine cancer research fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell. During this time, she received advanced Breast Surgical Oncology training as well as Head and Neck training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Kapoor also completed a Breast and Thyroid Surgical Oncology Fellowship at both John Wayne Cancer Institute and Cedars-Sinai. She worked for Breastlink in Southern California for several years until joining Cedars Sinai in 2017.
