Outdoor Social Skills Group for Ages 7-9 is Set to Begin on Tuesday, July 10th
Kids will be able to experience how to practice real life skills that can be generalized to a variety of settings, such as school, play dates, and sibling interactions. The goals of these social skills groups are for children to gain skills in social interaction, cooperative play, problem solving together, and learning to work through the challenges of social situations.
Some of the topics taught and experienced during social skills group therapy include:
• Coping skills
• Peer relations
• Learning how to tolerate anxiety and manage stress
• Reading social cues, ex: body language
• Managing impulsive behaviors
• Identifying and expressing feelings
• Learning how to join social settings
• Learning how to deal with aggressors
• Taking turns
• Decreasing attention seeking behaviors
• Accepting consequences
This group will meet for 2 hours per day starting at 9:00 a.m. on the following days

Friday, July 27th

This social skills group is facilitated by Dr. Alyse Scarmozzino and Dr.Talin Hovsepian. The fee for the group
is 80.00 per day, total sum due at beginning of the group. Please contact either Dr. Scarmozzino
