Renovated Palm Garden Hotel hosts a Very Merry Waffle Wednesday
Hotels, charities, and waffles are bringing the best Christmas event to the Conejo Valley
THOUSAND OAKS, CA : A Very Merry Waffle Wednesday is happening December 4th,
2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the newly renovated Palm Garden Hotel and Spa. The
event will have Santa and his llama and alpaca reindeer, custom T-Shirts, free holiday
beverages, a 21+ pool with a DJ, wine and beer, and so much more! A Very Merry
Waffle Wednesday is open to all ages. Guests are encouraged to bring a new
unwrapped toy to donate under the tree for a local child this Christmas which is put on
by our partner ACTION. There will be other charities in attendance who will occupy
hospitality suites and have the opportunity to share during our “Open Mic” about their
cause. For guests it does not stop at just a Very Merry Waffle Wednesday, they can be
involved year round with Waffle Wednesday events.
Mr. Ross says there are three things that are a requirement for him to keep Waffle
Wednesday going, “It remains a free and fun way to connect with the community,
makes a difference in someone’s life, and as long as it doesn’t suck!”.
The following is a brief glimpse of a plan of action for Waffle Wednesday :
● Taking on a team of about 60 volunteers
● Promoting the event on social media through their own platform as well as
participant’s platforms
● Using the Palm Garden Hotel venue to create a perfect Christmas wonderland
● Involving local companies, charities, and organizations
● Having a Facebook live stream of the event
● Keeping the always free promise of Waffle Wednesday
Waffle Wednesday was started in 2013 by Todd Ross. He wanted a fun and creative
way to connect with customers and the community without it being about business. As
both the attendance and volunteers grew he decided to involve the charities he supports
with a hands-on charity awareness option. One way Waffle Wednesday does this is
through A Very Merry Waffle Wednesday at the Palm Garden Hotel on December 4th
from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
