“Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation”- John F. Kennedy

This is a descriptionOn the first Friday of every month, our members jump start their morning with a buffet breakfast and a stack of business cards in hand ready to mingle at our Networking Breakfast. This month, however, our breakfast had a special twist. Our members came not only to make the community stronger by supporting each other, but also to learn how their business can help create opportunities for students to see the relevance of their education to the working world.

The Career Education Program and the Ventura County Career Education Center provided us with an inspiring discussion centered on how important it is we prepare our youth for the workplace for both today and tomorrow. Some of the big takeaways of today’s breakfast were:

    ·        First Point

    ·        Second Point

    ·        Third Point

It’s clear that education and business must collaborate in order to effectively provide a path of success for the next generation. We take pride in being a part of that solution and even more pride in watching our members actively advocate for a stronger community, especially, at 7 a.m. on a Friday morning.
