The Chamber, the Acorn Newspapers and Cal Lutheran University are collaborating to host a Candidates Forum for City of Thousand Oaks Councilmember candidates and Ventura County Community College District Trustee candidates appearing on the November 3, 2026 ballot. This is our community’s opportunity to hear candidates discuss their priorities, positions and vision — and how they would approach the decisions and responsibilities of City Council and the Community College District if elected.
Candidates Forum will be held in the Lundring Events Center at California Lutheran University on Thursday, September 17 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
The forum will be moderated and all candidate questions posed by Becca Whitnall, editor with The Acorn Newspapers and Dr. Haco Hoang, professor of Political Science at California Lutheran University.
