    Event Description:
    The Education Committee works to improve the future quality of your workforce by hosting quality educational programs through local partnerships. Meetings include a presentation by featured speakers in the areas of Education, Job Training, Human Resources, Community Programs, and updates from our local partners.

    The Education Committee coordinates interaction between businesses and the Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) and partners with private schools/colleges in the Conejo Valley.

    This committee also leads our Teacher of the Month Program in partnership with CVUSD, where we honor educational excellence by rewarding teachers with a plaque in their name and gifts from Chamber Members. This is an opportunity for Chamber Members (you) to acknowledge our educators while also giving a brief description of your organization!

    This Month's Speaker: Superintendent Dan Stepenosky - Las Virgenes Unified School District
    Dr. Stepenosky joined the Las Virgenes Unified School District in 2006 and served as Assistant Superintendent of Personnel until 2011. He was the District?s Deputy Superintendent from 2011-12 and was appointed Superintendent of Schools in 2012.

    Dr. Stepenosky has also served as an Adjunct Lecturer for the USC Rossier School of Education, California Lutheran University Doctoral in Education Leadership and Master?s program, and Concordia University Master?s program in Education Leadership.

    Dr. Stepenosky lives in Calabasas with his wife and two children who attend school in Las Virgenes Unified School District.
