    Name: Legislative Roundtable
    Date: April 26, 2022
    Time: 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM PDT
    Event Description:

Legislative Roundtable provides a setting for dialogue to take place on public policy issues and gives public agency staff, elected officials, their staff and businesses an opportunity to network. The meeting includes a guest speaker on a public sector topic and regular updates from our local cities, agencies, and elected officials.

Staff members provide brief reports from their prospective agencies to inform each other and members of the chamber of upcoming events or other items of interest.

    This Month's Speaker:
Trevor Zierhut, Principal Consultant, The Zierhut Group
    Topic:  Ventura County Measures A & B

Trevor Zierhut is the Founder and Principal Consultant of The Zierhut Group, a Government/Political/Public Relations firm operating throughout the South and Central Coast. The Zierhut Group has represented clients from a broad range of industries including Energy/Resources, Utilities/Development, Medical Transport, High-Tech Manufacturing, Economic Development, Cannabis Cultivation/Retail, and Electoral Campaigns.

Since leaving a legislative role working in the United States House of Representatives in 2017, Trevor has worked leveraging his knowledge of government systems and political ties to develop and implement strategies designed to navigate the regulatory, policy, and communications obstacles standing between clients and their goals.

In addition to his industry clients, Trevor is currently working as a local Deputy Director on the campaign to STOP Ventura County’s Measures A and B - ballot measures being decided in this June’s Primary Election.

Trevor grew up in Ventura County and attended the University of California Santa Barbara, before moving to Washington, D.C. to hone his skills in politics and government. He returned to the Central Coast in 2017, where he now lives with his wife and son in Thousand Oaks.
