Al Adam is a Thousand Oaks City Councilmember and current Mayor for 2020. He also served as the City's 51st Mayor in 2015. He is a Managing Director of Investments for Wells Fargo Advisors. He is focused on economic development and the preservation of our environment.
Al was elected to the City Council in 2012 after serving our community in various capacities including Planning Commissioner, YMCA Chair, Founder of the Alliance for the Arts and Chair of the Civic Arts Plaza Board of Governors. Al is currently a member and two-time Chair of the Ventura Council of Governments, General Assembly of the Southern California Association of Governments, Association of Ventura County Cities, and a former member of the Economic Development Collaborative for Ventura County.
He has served on numerous City committees including Finance/Audit, Campus Master Plan, Economic Development, Visioning 2064 Economy, Downtown Core Masterplan, Auto Mall, Cultural Arts Review, Theatres Fund Budget Review, Thousand Oaks Plan to Assist School Sites, Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance Liaison, and the T.O. Boulevard Specific Plan Committee.
