**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Flower Processing and Preparation:** Assist in receiving, cutting, and preparing flowers for arrangements. Ensure flowers are stored properly to maintain their freshness and quality. Support designers by prepping materials and tools needed for floral design.
- **Customer Service:** Provide a welcoming environment for customers, assisting them with purchases, and answering questions about care and maintenance of flowers and plants.
- **Sales and Retail Assistance:** Process sales transactions and assist with the management of the cash register and payment systems. Help maintain an up-to-date understanding of current promotions, new arrivals, and special events to inform customers.
- **Inventory Management and Stocking:** Help in receiving and organizing new stock, conducting inventory checks, and ensuring supplies and materials are readily available for designers.
- **Store Maintenance:** Keep the store and work areas clean and organized, ensuring a visually appealing environment for customers.
- **Delivery and Event Support:** On occasion, assist with the delivery of floral arrangements to customers or event locations. Provide support during events, such as setup and takedown, as required.
**Qualifications:**
- **Education and Experience:** High school diploma or equivalent preferred. No prior experience in floral design required, but experience in a support role or retail is beneficial. Training will be provided.
- **Skills:** Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- **Physical Requirements:** Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- **Availability:** Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
