The BumbleBee Foundation is making this holiday season a little sweeter for 50 pediatric cancer families, both locally and statewide. Through their annual Holiday BEEs program, volunteers affectionately referred to as “Busy Bees” shop, wrap and deliver gift cards and toys to each pediatric cancer family.

While most families are preparing for gift exchanges and traditional activities, pediatric cancer families can often feel out of step during the holiday season. Due to mounting medical bills, loss of income, and demanding treatment schedules, parents of a child battling cancer are challenged to make ends meet, especially during the holidays. For some of these families, the Holiday BEEs program acts as the only means of gift giving from the parents, or “Santa”, to their children.

The holiday season can bring a mixture of emotions, not only for a child with cancer, but for their parents and siblings, as well. The BumbleBee Foundation believes that no child should have to miss out on the magic of the season due to financial reasons.

Help make the holiday season a little sweeter for families dealing with pediatric cancer by becoming a Holiday “Sugar Bee”. Your monetary donation will not only allow these families to feel a sense of normalcy during their cancer journey, it will illuminate the hearts of over 100 children.

All donations are tax deductible and accepted online at bumblebeefoundation.org or by check to 4035 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. #235, Westlake Village, CA 91362 through December 31, 2020. For more information on the Holiday BEEs program, email heather@bumblebeefoundation.org or call 805.374.2124.
