Express Employment Professionals’ Toy Drive Turns into Toy Freeway
Thousand Oaks, CA, Dec. 13th, 2021 – Express Employment Professionals partnered with the Ventura County Fire Departments for their annual Spark of Love Toy Drive for the second year in a row. Both the Thousand Oaks and Oxnard Express offices recruited other employers in the area to participate in the Toy Drive with fruitful response. The employment firm received an unprecedented number of toys via their client partners. More than 140 companies throughout the Ventura County area participated in the Spark of Love Toy Drive through Express Employment Professionals. It is estimated that over 2,000 toys were donated in through the campaign.
The Toy Drive took place from November 15th to December 10th. Express provided companies with posters and red donations bags and posters to help facilitate. Then Express reps hit the field the week of December 6th to pick up the abundance of toys back to the home bases of the Oxnard and Thousand Oaks Express offices.
When the Fire Department came to pick up the toys from the Express offices, they had to use a moving truck. The Express Oxnard office filled the entire truck to the brim when they arrived. Once unloaded, the Fire Department headed onto the Thousand Oaks office to pick up an almost equal amount of toys.
President Neil McMillan exclaimed, “There are so many toys it’s insane!” He elaborated, “The number of toys we have here will truly help the children of Ventura County.”
