    Public libraries are a thread throughout our community joining various ages, ethnicities, and political thoughts under one roof. Our libraries are community gathering places that remain free, engaging our youngest in the world of literature and beyond. Especially in our digital age, libraries matter. Libraries lead in evolving to meet the changing demands of our society. That is why more than ever, our libraries need our support and why the Friends of the Thousand Oaks Library, for just over 60 years, support the Thousand Oaks Libraries in meeting their mission.

    Right now at your Library, 60th Anniversary Children's Art and Writing Activity - Reading into the Future- In Another Sixty Years, What Story Are You Telling 
    September:19th FTOL Bookshop Grand Re-Opening at the Grant R. Brimhall Library
    September 24th FTOL 60th Anniversary Celebration at the Grant R. Brimhall Library featuring a display of Children's Art and Writing as part of the Library's Ruby Red 40th Anniversary Celebration
    October - A month-long 60th Anniversary Scavenger Hunt at the Grant Brimhall Library
    October 16th, a 60th Anniversary Booth at the Thousand Oaks Rotary Street Fair on Moorpark Road.
