Employment law firm LightGabler is providing live, online sexual harassment and bullying prevention training courses for supervisors and non-supervisory employees on Thursday, October 27.
California law requires that companies with five or more employees provide two hours of supervisory training and one hour of staff training every two years on harassment, discrimination, bullying and retaliation prevention. Agricultural employers must provide this training every year. New supervisors need to be trained within six months of starting a supervisory position and new employees must have training within six months of being hired.
The sexual harassment and abusive conduct prevention training webinars are presented via Zoom. The speaker is LightGabler employment law attorney Angela V. Lopez. Topics covered include prevention of harassment, discrimination, retaliation and abusive conduct.
The supervisor training is from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The cost is $25 per person. Non-supervisory employee training is from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The cost is $15 per person. Preregistration and a non-refundable pre-payment are required. To register for an October 27 webinar, go to www.lightgablerlaw.com/training/ or contact Ashley Ontiveros at 805-248-7093, firstname.lastname@example.org.
A certificate of completion is provided via email after training and attendance is confirmed.
