Invesco QQQ Championship announces ticket offer for first responders
of Ventura County and the Greater Conejo Valley
Police officers, fire fighters and EMTs honored with complimentary entry to Playoffs event
THOUSAND OAKS, California – Tournament officials announced today a special ticket offer providing complimentary admittance for first responders of Ventura County and the Greater Conejo Valley to the 2018 Invesco QQQ Championship. The annual Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs event on PGA TOUR Champions returns to Sherwood Country Club the week of October 22-28, 2018.
In addition to all active duty, reserve, military retirees and veterans, first responders can now gain complimentary Good-Any-One-Day grounds admission to the event. The offer is extended to actively employed police officers, fire fighters and EMTs. “As we continue to build tradition at the Invesco QQQ Championship, we wanted to expand upon our ticket offers currently extended to members of the armed forces,” said executive director Phil Bough. “California has historically experienced a number of natural disasters, but especially in the last few years as we’ve suffered through catastrophic wildfires. This is just one small way we are able to say thank you and honor the first responders who keep us safe day in and day out.”
Fans are reminded that each year, youth 18 and younger are admitted free of charge to the Invesco QQQ Championship when accompanied by a ticketed adult. There is no limit to the number of youth 18 and younger who can attend with a ticketed adult.
Good-Any-One-Day grounds tickets are available for $20, or fans can enjoy three days of grounds access for just $50 (Friday-Sunday). For every 2018 daily grounds ticket purchased between June 10 and October 12, the Invesco QQQ Championship will donate a daily grounds ticket to local charity through the Sherwood Cares Foundation.
The Invesco QQQ Championship is the second of three Playoffs events and will feature the top 54 players on the Charles Schwab Cup points list. Come Sunday of tournament week at the conclusion of the final round, 18 PGA TOUR Champions players will be eliminated and only the top 36 will advance to the Charles Schwab Cup Championship and compete for a chance to win the Charles Schwab Cup.
