Westlake Village, California, April 15, 2022—Smash RX, LLC, a business specializing in therapeutic and recreational destruction therapy, corporate wellness and outpatient mental health services is proud to announce its national certification as a WBE - Women's Business Enterprise and WOSB - Women-Owned Small Business by the WBENC-West, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
Yashica Budde is the owner/founder of Smash RX and she hopes that these two certifications will serve as just another small crack in the glass ceiling for her as a black woman small business owner, attempting to change how society views mental health, starting in her community and then society as a whole. “I hope to continue breaking down barriers and misconceptions surrounding mental health with this unique approach.”
The WBENC standard of certification implemented by the Women's Business Enterprise Council-West is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women.
By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier diversity programs.
Smash RX was established in 2019 as the first and only rage room to incorporate a therapeutic aspect. Born out of the revolutionary idea to create a healthy outlet for people to express themselves without judgment and very few regulations. Smash RX encourages its patrons to “ditch the couch and grab a sledgehammer and smash their way into wholeness.”
In addition to our Destruction Therapy services, Smash RX offers corporate wellness services with the goal of reducing workplace stress, burnout, boosting morale while creatively aligning people and system, thereby, reducing friction and accelerating productivity. Outpatient mental health services focused on building hope in a positive and nourishing manner to assist clients in the areas of symptom management, coping strategies, problem and conflict resolution skills, that can be transferred to everyday life.
