The Southeast Ventura County YMCA is hosting its “On Course For A Cause” 12th Annual Golf Classic. The tournament is on Monday, May 4, at the North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.
The title sponsor for the tournament is Amoroso Companies.
Registration, breakfast and putting contest begin at 9:00 a.m. The tournament starts at 11:00 a.m. with a shotgun start. Mini-contests take place continuously throughout tournament play. Food and drinks are provided throughout the entire tournament thanks to the generosity of local restaurants. The day ends with a reception, a no-host bar, and award presentations to contest winners.
The Southeast Ventura County YMCA serves youth and families in the communities of Simi Valley, Moorpark, Westlake Village, Agoura Hills, Oak Park, and Thousand Oaks. For over 40 years, the YMCA’s mission has been to ensure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive at the Y, while giving back and supporting the communities it serves.
Proceeds from the tournament help support the YMCA's "Find My Genius" program, a free after-school and five-week summer program for low- and moderate-income students who are not reading at grade level. The program provides students with academic instruction, healthy meals, physical exercise and enrichment opportunities. Over 500 young scholars participated in the 2025 summer session.
“The YMCA has a long tradition of improving the health and well-being of everyone in the community, from kids to adults,” says Ronnie Stone, YMCA president and CEO. “The funds raised from the golf tournament help us to continue to bring people together and deliver positive and lasting personal and social change.”
