Triunfo Water & Sanitation District Schedules Free Online Class
    On Fire-Wise Landscaping - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12

April 30, 2021 – Triunfo Water & Sanitation District will sponsor an online class on “Fire-Wise Landscaping” at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12. The class is free, open to the public, and will be conducted by an instructor from the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains.

Whether for new construction, retrofits, or routine maintenance, homeowners will come away from the class with ways to prioritize home hardening and landscape modifications. They will learn about the different zones of defensible space surrounding their homes, including examples of fire-resistant and native plants to use in each area. The class will include a live demonstration of the defensiblespace.org website to guide homeowners in creating and maintaining a sustainable, defensible space.

Although there is no charge for the class, pre-registration is required. Those interested should email twsd@triunfowsd.com. Confirmation and a Zoom meeting link will be emailed to all registrants. More information is available at triunfowsd.com or by calling 805-658-4608.
