    **Ventura County Council Boy Scouts of America Appoints First Female Scout Executive CEO**

    **Camarillo, CA - May 30, 2024** - The Ventura County Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Scouting America is proud to announce the appointment of Andrea McClellan as the new Scout Executive/CEO, marking a historic milestone as the first female to hold this esteemed position in the council's 103-year history.
     
    Andrea brings over 20 years of dedicated experience in the scouting community, with a proven track record of leadership, innovation, and commitment to youth development. Her appointment is a significant step forward in the council’s mission to foster inclusivity and diversity within the organization.

    Throughout her career, Andrea has been a trailblazer, successfully leading various initiatives that have significantly enhanced scouting programs and increased community engagement. Her previous role as Assistant Scout Executive at Ventura County Council demonstrated her ability to manage large teams, develop strategic partnerships, and drive programmatic success.
