    Dynamic Thousand Oaks based non-profit Fitness Provider Seeks Business Attorney for Open Board Seat.  Due to the loss of this active organization’s Chairman David Adelman who lost his battle to pancreatic cancer, our board is seeking a business attorney to fill this role. 
     

    Temporarily providing fitness programs virtually, Fit 4 The Cause, serves low-income communities including seniors, children, and young adults with special needs. Before the pandemic, Fit 4 The Cause offered live classes from the top of Ventura County through the San Fernando Valley at gyms, schools, government agencies and senior centers. A recipient of Guidestar’s  Platinum Seal of Transparency for three years, we are recognized for our continued progress towards our mission. 

     

    As our newest Board Member, you will be joining our Board of experienced, diverse, dedicated and influential cadre of medical professionals, lawyers, educators, experts and marketers from across Southern California.

    We need your help with the following:

           Drafting, execution, and administration of contractual business documents. 

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

     Know the organization’s mission, policies, programs, and needs

    Follow the organization’s bylaws, policies, and board resolutions

     Serve as active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and fully engage in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for the organization to advance its mission

    Leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action to fully achieve the organization’s mission

    Help identify personal connections that can benefit the organization’s fundraising and reputational standing and can influence public policy

    Prepare for, attend, and conscientiously participate in board meetings every other month and fundraising events.
