    Event Description:
    Legislative Roundtable provides a setting for dialogue to take place on public policy issues and gives public agency staff, elected officials, their staff and businesses an opportunity to network. The meeting includes a guest speaker on a public sector topic and regular updates from our local cities, agencies, and elected officials.

    Staff members provide brief reports from their prospective agencies to inform each other and members of the chamber of upcoming events or other items of interest.

    Homelessness in Conejo Valley

    Many Mansions is a nonprofit affordable housing and service provider located in Thousand Oaks, California. Many Mansions develops affordable housing rental apartments for low-income individuals and families in Ventura and Los Angeles counties.  Many Mansions is the leading provider of supportive housing in Ventura County.  Many Mansions currently owns and manages 16 affordable housing communities, with 554 units of affordable housing.

    Rick has been the President of Many Mansions since July 2002.  Prior to that time he was on the Many Mansions? Board of Directors where he held numerous offices including Board Chairperson. 

    He is an attorney, licensed to practice law in the states of California and Minnesota, and was in private practice in the Conejo Valley, specializing in real estate, litigation, and bankruptcy.  He received his law degree from UCLA School of Law in 1986 and his Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin in 1983.  Rick is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker (CalDRE #01999799) and is the corporate officer for Many Mansions as a broker (CalDRE #02003927).

    Rick has been active for many years in issues for the homeless and mentally disabled, including positions on the Ventura County Mental Health Board and the Ventura Housing & Homeless Coalition.
