    • About

Hospice of the Conejo was founded in 1977. It was the product of a grass roots effort by local residents who believe that people at the end of life and their families should be able to die in comfort with dignity and respect and saw that need unfulfilled in the community. In 1987, we started our Grief Support Center to respond to a profound need in our community to assist residents dealing with loss and grief from all circumstances. Our licensed therapists now facilitate over 50 grief support sessions each and every month.

Hospice of the Conejo is a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Volunteer Hospice Network. As an integral part of the community, we also hold membership in the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce. We work closely with local medical hospices and serve as designated volunteers for Livingston Memorial Home Health and Hospice, and Assisted Home Hospice VITAS, Buena Vista and more.

All of the services provided by Hospice of the Conejo are done so completely FREE of charge. Our services are included in Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Newbury Park, Moorpark, SImi Valley, Agoura, Oak Park, and Calabasas, California.

We rely 100% on community donations, fund-raising events, grants, and bequests. We also depend on more than 200 volunteers who generously give of their time and talent.
