SNORING AND SLEEP APNEA POSE SIGNIFICANT HEALTH RISKS.

      HOW WE DIAGNOSIS
Using state of the art systems, factors contributing to your sleep apnea will be determined. These include size of airway, tongue position and much more.

      SLEEP STUDY
It may be necessary to coordinate a sleep study to determine if you are experiencing sleep apnea during the night. This could occur in a dedicated facility or achieve with a home sleep study.

      SOLUTIONS
It’s important to find the right solution to treat your sleep apnea. Dr. Greenman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine with over 15 year experience treating sleep apnea.

A BOARD CERTIFIED DENTIST MAY BE YOUR BEST CHOICE
Dentists are experts in understanding the inner-working of the mouth, tongue, and jaw. Furthermore, dentists routinely study the way this complicated system interacts.

Sleep apnea is often caused by the relaxation of the tongue and throat during sleep, which causes an actual physical blockage that cuts o? air to the lungs.

Dental devices resemble retainers, or mouthguards. The devices gently hold the lower jaw forward, thus further opening the airway to allow greater inflation of the lungs. They reduce and eliminate loud snoring!

Dental devices are 1st line options for mild to moderate sleep apnea. However, recent studies have shown that oral devices are e?ective even at treating severe sleep apnea; especially if one cannot tolerate a CPAP. The first step is to find out what type of sleep apnea you are su?ering from.
