    Senior Concerns’ Golf Tournament Rallies
Critical Support for Area Seniors & Family Caregivers

Thousand Oaks, Calif.— Senior Concerns, a leading nonprofit serving older adults and family caregivers throughout western Los Angeles and eastern Ventura counties, held its 4th Annual “Par and Away” Golf Tournament presented by Logix Federal Credit Union on November 18 at Moorpark Country Club.

More than 200 golfers, sponsors, and supporters participated to raise critical funds for programs that support seniors across the region.

The tournament featured breakfast, the Los Angeles Rams Cheerleaders, a putting contest, on-course games and activities, and exceptional food and drink vendors throughout the day. An awards dinner with former Los Angeles Dodgers catcher and two-time World Series Champion, and former manager of the Los Angeles Angels, Mike Scioscia, and auctioneer Zack Krone led the live auction.

During the 19th Hole Reception and Awards Dinner, Senior Concerns’ president and CEO, Andrea Gallagher, emphasized that this year’s proceeds are critical as demand rises for Meals On Wheels deliveries, senior advocacy, caregiver support, and adult day services, at a time when government funding has become increasingly unstable.

“We are deeply moved by the generosity shown at this year’s tournament,” said Gallagher. “Every sponsor, golfer, volunteer, and dinner guest played a part in ensuring our seniors are cared for with dignity and compassion. With more older adults across our region facing food insecurity, isolation, and financial strain, while Senior Concerns faces uncertainty of promised government funding, this outpouring of community support provides critical gap funding. “

Numerous sponsors, including Top Flight Sponsor Logix Federal Credit Union, Fairway Sponsors Amgen and Leaf Dispensary, supported this year’s event. Birdie Sponsors included Athens Services, Conejo Awards, County of Ventura, Helen F. Follmer, Geoliv Investment Group, Home Helpers, The Lake Avenue Group Morgan Stanley, McMaster and Hill Construction, Pacific Coast Business Times, Sondgeroth Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors, The Acorn, and Thousand Oaks Post Acute. David and Linda Catlin sponsored the 19th Hole Reception and Awards Dinner.

“As we come to the end of celebrating our 50th Anniversary of supporting seniors and their family caregivers, we’re reminded just how vital our mission remains,” said Gallagher. “Everyone has the power to impact the lives of older adults and their family caregivers right here in our own community. Every gift stays local, helping seniors and families who depend on Senior Concerns for care, meals, and support.”
